Hi! I'm Kevin Montalvan! I enjoy creating engaging visuals that tell a story or explore form and color. I focus on designing 3D models, and working on Visual Art projects to put together anything that seemed just a vague idea; into reality. The early passion I experienced as a kid for cartoons, video games, album covers, and YouTube editions shaped myself as an independent artist. In this way, I am pursuing my career by making busts and full-body characters as a way to build my professional portfolio; however; I want to reach a higher point where I can do 3D printings, lettering, and illustrations to complement my artwork. While studying New Media and its branches, I have mainly prioritized the composition of the setting in which the render is going to take place. I simply let my creativity flow and try to get closer to the original idea. For instance, I start off organizing lighting, multiple renders with different camera perspectives, and background filling. However, if it is about making a short film or advertisement, I also have experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects to work on editing videos from the renders previously done in Blender. I try to not set limitations on my art process. One of my principles is to keep myself working on any project regardless of how “weird” or “abstract” others may see it. My challenge at this moment is making more polished full-body 3D characters, and illustrations on Adobe Illustrator to enhance my work and career as well.
Here will be a gallery of my recent works. I specialize in 3D modeling and visual art.
